The Rosemont Center Young Professionals was formed to assist the organization in furthering its mission to a targeted population with a focus on 25-40 year olds. Its primary purpose is to heighten awareness about Rosemont Center and serve in a fundraising capacity by tapping into other young professionals within the Columbus community.
The Rosemont Young Professionals shall serve as a volunteer organization which:
- Increases awareness in the community of Rosemont Center.
- Develops financial support for Rosemont Center via planned fundraising activities.
- Creates a networking environment for young professionals.
- Increases the volunteer base of Rosemont Center among young professionals.
- Provides an opportunity for young professionals to develop their philanthropic leadership skills.
- Prepares young Professionals for eligibility to serve on the Board of Trustees.
Membership
The Rosemont Young Professionals will be comprised of local professionals between the ages of 25-45. Members commit to serving on or attending at least one event per year. A membership directory will be developed and provided to members of the Rosemont Young Professionals, the Board of Directors and the staff of Rosemont Center.
Offices
The Rosemont Young Professionals shall elect the following officers: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The term of office shall be for one year, beginning July 1st and ending June 30th. Elections will be held annually for the offices of Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The office of Chair will be filled with the VIce Chair from the preceding year. The Chair of the Executive committee will be an ex-officio member of the Rosemont Center Board.
Meetings
The Rosemont Young Professionals shall meet as often as necessary to conduct the business of the volunteers, but not less than annually.
Events and Activities
The Rosemont Young Professionals will organize and host at least one volunteer, social and/or fundraising activity, or any combination thereof, per year.
