the ryan group home

The Ryan Group home works to expand and continue services based on the specific needs of adolescents/young adult female populations.  By providing comprehensive services supporting a healthy pregnancy, healthy children, and the well-being of the entire family, young women learn to become resilient, self-sufficient community members.  Rosemont staff members help the teen parents establish achievable short-term goals that lead to long-term success.  The goals agreed upon will address the needs of the young teen mothers and the family support system.  Goals will be identified in the following areas:

  • Employment, Career Planning, Education Opportunities, Living Situations Community Life.

The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a crucial stage of development for everyone.  This transition is very difficult for youth again out of the foster care system, for teen mothers, and for youth who have serious mental health conditions.  For many of these youth, the problems they experience both manifest and intensify at the threshold of adulthood between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one.

Rosemont is committed to continuing service provision through this time period  Strategies in the Ryan Group home for teen mothers will be developed for each individual youth to be sure they have the best chance for success during their time at Rosemont and in the future.
