outpatient services

The Outpatient Department provides mental health services to youth and families, using a competency based focus that builds on strengths and health utilizing solution focused therapy which involves both the child and their family.  Both biological and foster families are required to be actively involved in the child's treatment.

Rosemont Center's outpatient program provides a balance of CPST, Counseling/Therapy, and assessment services.  The Pharmacological services provided by the agency's child psychiatrist have been made available to other mental health providers with minimal requirements for access.  Generally, other mental health providers share their diagnostic assessment with Rosemont, include pharmacological services in their treatment plan, and accompany their client and family to Rosemont for the Pharmacological service.

In response to the wide range of disorders, intensity of the symptoms, and variety of contributing factors (genetic vulnerability, intelligence, abuse and neglect, family functioning, and community/social risk factors) a variety of interventions must be available.  Rosemont provides the following treatment strategies:  individual counseling, family counseling, psychopharmacology, behavioral approaches, multimodal treatments, and community support.

All of these interventions are based upon the following:

  • Strength and health based assessments
  • Competency based approaches
  • Brief, Solution-oriented approaches
  • Family systems approaches
  • Resilience and recovery
