MST Clinician

Job Description:  The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct MST assessments and provide MST treatment to a caseload of clients, collaborate with significant community players in assisting with overcoming barriers to change, clearly document services, participate in collecting outcome data and participate in MST training, supervision and consultation activities.

Job Requirements"

  • Education: Master's degree in social work, counseling or a related field and Ohio license (LSW, PC, MFT).  Independent license preferred.
  • Work Experience:  Community-based experience, work with children and families, familiarity with cognitive-behaviroal techniques and systems theory.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of family systems theory and application, behavioral therapies theory and applicaiton, CBT and application.
  • Ability to conduct at thorough social skills assessment and interventions
  • Ability to quickly engage with children and families in a professional relationship
  • Ability to foster an environment that supports recovery for persons served through positive reframing, finding benevolent intent behind behaviors and treatment framing.
  • Skill in collaboration with all relevant systems and key participants to ensure buy-in and cooperation in treatment.
  • Knowledge of and ease in conducting community-based work
  • Assertiveness in taking leadership in team meetings and responsibility for outcomes

Day Treatment Counselor

Job Description: The primary responsibility of the Day Treatment Counselor is to provide individual, group milieu, crisis, and activity therapies in a school setting with youth ages 12-18. Actively participates in the planning and delivery of therapeutic, educational, and tutorial services.  Will work collaboratively with the teacher in establishing an integrated treatment/academic program which includes academics as the task of the day with treatment interventions provided throughout structured activities as well as during crisis events. Must value cultural diversity, exhibit cultural competence and have knowledge of the impact of culture and ethnicity on the treatment process.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Master's in Counseling with a license to provide Counseling/Psychotherapy services according to ODMH standards.   CCDC or stated competence in AOD are preferred but not required.
  • Required Work Experience:  Work or internship(s) working with adolescents in group, school, or residential setting or a closely related experience.
  • Must be able to form positive relationships with individual adolescents, develop group cohesiveness & plan and deliver individual and group interventions.
  • Knowledge of AOD issues, education, and interventions.
  • The ability to express and transmit ideas clearly (verbally and in writing), experience in the use of current computer technology.

Day Treatment CPST

Job Description: The primary responsibility of the Day Treatment Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Clinician (CPST) is to assist Day Treatment clients (ages 12-18) and their families in learning how to cope with current circumstances and/or psychiatric diagnoses while working to preserve the families. Additionally, the CPST will help link families with other resources in the community while allowing clients to stay in the least restrictive setting. Must value cultural diversity, exhibit cultural competence and have knowledge of the impact of culture and ethnicity on the treatment process.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Master's Degree (LSW, LISW, PCC, PC) and related experience.
  • Working knowledge of community resources, sensitivity to cultural needs of the individual and/or family served, and an understanding of family dynamics and commitment to family preservation principles.
  • Ability to foster an environment that supports recovery for persons served through positive reframing, finding benevolent intent behind behaviors, and treatment framing.

IMPACT Clinician

Job Description: The primary responsibility of the IMPACT Clinician is to assist youth at risk of out-of-home placement due to behavioral health difficulties in achieving or maintaining self-support and sufficiency. Will provide intensive services that are family-driven and delivered in the home, community, and school. Must value cultural diversity, exhibit cultural competence and have knowledge of the impact of culture and ethnicity on the treatment process.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling with a license to provide Counseling/Psychotherapy services according to ODMH standards. ( LSW, LISW, PC, PCC)
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team that focuses on strengths, resilience, capabilities, competency, and utilizes an integrated family systems model

Mental Health Outpatient / CPST Clinician

  • Ability to foster an environment that supports recovery for persons served through positive reframing, finding benevolent intent behind behaviors, and treatment framing.
  • Knowledge of Family Systems Theory, as well as Strength/Competency Based Approach.

Treatment Foster Care Clinician

Job Description: The primary responsibility of the Treatment Foster Care Social Worker is to administer effective counseling and community support services to foster children and their natural families while working in conjunction with the members of the treatment team, especially the treatment foster parents. Demonstrated knowledge of casework processes, behavioral dynamics and treatment interventions. Additional skills include the ability to successfully execute psychosocial assessments, intervention planning, and diagnoses. Must value cultural diversity, exhibit cultural competence and have knowledge of the impact of culture and ethnicity on the treatment process.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum requirements are a Master's degree and license (PCC, PC, LISW, LSW)
  • Two years experience working with families and children with demonstrated knowledge of family systems theory & dynamics of youth in out-of-home placement preferred.
  • The ability to express and transmit ideas clearly (verbally and in writing), experience in the use of current computer technology. 

Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment

The primary responsibiliyt of the Intensive Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Clinician (CPST) is to assist the client in achieving of maintaining self support and suffciency, to provide linkage and coordination of care, to assist in remedy of abuse, neglect or exploitation of youth who are unable to protect their own interests; to preserve, rehabiliate, or reunite families; and to allow the client to reside in a less restrictive setting. The Intensive CPST provider will be assigned a maximum caseload of 10-15 adolescent males providing indiviudal, group, and family intervention.  The CPST provider will also provide individual or family behavioral health counseling as needed or identified.  The Intensive CPST hours will vary on a daily basis, but will have the manadatory hours of 3:00-7:0pm Monday thru Friday during I.M.P.A.C.T group hours.

Job Requirements
  • Education:  Minimum Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling with appropriate licensure (LISW, LSW,PCC,PC)
  • Strong understanding of needs of adolescent males and knowledge of gender specific interventions to target this population
  • Demonstrate skills and abilites to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written formats (ie: individualized services plan, progress notes, etc.)
  • Possess working knowledge of community resources and work effectively with clients and families in conjunction with internal and external service providers.
  • Ability to manifest commitment to CPST philospohy and standards and foster an environment that supports recovery for clients and families.
  • Value cultural diversity, exhibit cultural competence and knowledge about the impact of culture and ethnicity on the treatment process
  • Possess understanding of family dynamics and commitment to family preservation principles

  • Plan and implement individual or group interventions and therapeutic activities
  • Ability to work as a member of a professional treatment team
  • Possess knowledge of AOD, gang, school, and community issues and the court system


PROGRAM SOCIAL WORKER

The primary responsibility of the residential Social Worker is to provide individual and family counseling and coordinate assessment for each youth, and to act as liaison to Franklin County Children Services Family Service Workers.

 

Job Requirements

 

Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree, Licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Counselors and Social Workers, minimum of Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).  Master's Degree in Social Work preferred.

 

Work Experience:  Minimum of one year of work experience in the social service field is preferred.

 

Competencies: 

       -Demonstrated knowledge of casework processes, behavioral dynamics, treatment processes, and placement  

         fanilities.

        - Ability to initiae and implement crisis intervention and short-term treatment plans, and to guide the productive

          utilization of community resources.

        -Ability to express and trasmit ideas clearly, both verbaly and written

        -Values cultural diversity, exhibits cultural competence and is knowledgeable about the impact of culture and
